FAQ
WHAT DOES “LAWN MAINTANENCE” MEAN?
First, we’ll mow the lawn with only the best commercial quality mowers. Then we trim around trees, down ditch banks, and around any obstacles that our mowers can’t get to. We do not trim behind air conditioner units to prevent damage to the air conditioner unit coils. Next, we put a nice edge on your driveway, curbs, and sidewalks. Finally, we’ll blow all the grass clippings off the paved surfaces, leaving a nice detailed look.
CAN YOU GET INTO MY BACK YARD?
Certainly. As long as the gate leading into your backyard is no less than 48″ in width, we can get our mowers in there. If it’s narrower than that, we do offer push mowing for an extra charge.
DO YOU OFFER “BIWEEKLY SERVICE”
We prefer to offer weekly lawn maintenance at this time and there are several reasons for this. First, it’s better for your turf to only take off a little bit of its grass blade weekly, rather than to take off more than half of the bladeless often. Second, the weeds that creep into your yard hate consistent weekly mowing, therefore your lawn stands a better chance of choking them out if the grass is cut frequently. Third, fewer grass clippings to deal with make a much cleaner look and eliminates the need to bag them, which keeps your cost low. And finally, in order to organize the most efficient route to service all our lawns, it is a necessity to have all our clients on the same day each and every week. This, again, keeps our costs low which helps keep your cost reasonable as well! We cannot guarantee to be able to accommodate specific time requests for services as our daily schedules are always changing and unanticipated delays occur regularly throughout the season that is out of our control. We will provide biweekly services for an additional 50% per biweekly lawn maintenance service to our customers.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF MY SCHEDULED SERVICE?
This can be a little tricky, but we have it figured out! We build into our weekly schedule a little padding to help with those rainy days. In other words, we do not overbook ourselves at your expense. It’s all a part of our exquisite lawn maintenance program. To make this answer simple, what we aim to do is simply service your lawn when the yard isn’t saturated. We have a “NO MOWING ON SATURATED LAWNS” motto. So, if you are scheduled to have your grass cut on Tuesday, and it rains lightly, we’ll be there on Wednesday. If the rain continues for several days consecutively, we’ll be there when the yard is no longer saturated. Then we will get you back on track and service your lawn on your regular scheduled day the next week. (In the unlikely event that it rains for 3 days in a row, it may be necessary for us to skip your lawn for the week.)
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE DOGGY POOP IN MY YARD?
Funny question, but we have to address it! We love dogs and pets of all kinds, so we understand. Please have all doggy poop scooped the day before we arrive. If there is doggy poop in the yard on the day of service you will be serviced an additional minimum service fee starting at $45.00. If we deemed there to be an excessive amount of doggy poop we will not be able to service your yard.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT OPTIONS?
We prefer to make things simple and keep a credit card on file for your account. Payment is due at the beginning of the month. All customers will prepay for services on a monthly basis thru our website on the 1st day of each month before the services begins. You will receive an invoice via email from us about 2 weeks ahead of time. (If you do not have any services scheduled for the upcoming month–say if we are in February and the lawn is dormant–you obviously will not be billed and will not receive an email.)
You’ll have an invoice emailed to you after each service to inform you of the amount that your card on file were charged. If payment is not received within 10 days an additional $50.00 will be added and services will stop until the bill is paid in full. We do not accept personal checks. In the event that your card declines, we will try the card again the next day. If the card declines a second time, we will cancel all future service until the card is updated.
CAN YOU SERVICE OUR PROPERTY IF WE HAVE A GATE?
If you lock your gate, please provide us with your combination or code so we can have access to your property on your lawn mowing day. If you prefer to unlock your gate(s), please ensure they are open on your designated lawn care service day so our crew can service the entire property. If our service crew arrives and the gate is locked, they will only mow the areas they can access. There could be an upcharge for overgrown grass if we cannot access an area regularly. We recommend you install combo locks so we can give the code to our crew on your service day.
Pets: Our lawn mowing crews are very careful about locking and closing gates, however, we cannot guarantee the safety or security of your pet. Our lawn mowing crews will not be able to notify you of their arrival under any circumstance, so we highly recommend that you secure your pet indoors or some other secure location on your designated lawn mowing day. You accept our lawn care service with this provision.
